Surrender

The concept of losing something is one that many people in this day and age are truly afraid of. No one wants to lose their job, their house, car or someone close to them. Now, imagine losing or relinquishing the power you have as a being on this earth. That's something to think about.

But the beautiful thing about it is the fact that it’s not about us. We're not here on our own free will. We were intentionally and purposely hand-picked and made for the Master's use. So the thought of losing the power you have as a being, or better still, surrendering, is more of a blessing than a disadvantage. The Maker of the universe is the One from whom we get life and everything needed for life on earth. He knows what's before us and behind us. He holds the manual for life. Yielding to Him will be the best decision ever.

Yielding to Him is like losing your life for Him. “Life" here could be your family, your job, your comfortable lifestyle, partying, and dinners. It could be a life you think is right in your own eyes, fervently pursuing your goals and career. Maybe that relationship you don't want to give up or lose. Or that lifestyle you enjoy with your friends or a certain type of people.

But in our quest for losing hold of what seems dear to us, we gain! 

When we relinquish control to God, because He knows what's best for us, we end up gaining even more than we can carry, as the One who brought things into existence has taken His rightful place in our hearts. And with that, serving Him will be wonderful and done with ease, as He leads and directs us on the right path, exceeding human expectations and still pleasing Him.
