Scribes Global
Biblical Perspective
Scribes Global is a non-profit, non-denominational organization set up as an evangelistic ministry to preach the gospel through creative arts i.e. poetry, music, spoken word.
Having received a direction from the Lord, SCRIBES, which came as an acronym- Speaking Christ’s Redemption In Biblically-Edified Speech was established on 22nd May, 2017. We have grown from a group of 8 members to having more than 100 members in different parts of the world, organizing events, workshops, conferences and outreach programs. Now, Scribes Global has chapters in KNUST, University of Cape Coast and University of Ghana. The ministry has a global audience to it's events and fellowship meetings.
As a community of creatives, our ministries are commissioned to preach Jesus Christ, more specifically the salvation of mankind and inspire hope for purity and holiness in this sinful world. They include Scribes Poetry, Scribes Worship and Scribes Kids.
2 Kings 22-23, gives an account of the life of Josiah, King of Jerusalem, and the deliverance that happened in his time. In the scripture, Josiah was crowned king at the age of 8, and ruled till he was 31 years. He did that which was right in the sight of the Lord. In the eighteenth year of his reign as king, he sent Shaphan, a SCRIBE to the high priest, to bring all the money in God’s Temple to the watchmen and workers of the house of the Lord.
When he went, the high priest gave him the book of the law and Shaphan the SCRIBE read it. Shaphan, upon reading the book, saw that God’s wrath was about to befall the people of Jerusalem so he immediately came to the king and read the book to him. In summary, it led to the deliverance of the people of Jerusalem from God’s wrath.
We believe like Shaphan, we have also been called as Scribes (messengers) to bring the message of REDEMPTION through our gifts and talents in poetry, music and spoken word to the world. In John 8:32, we learn that when we know the TRUTH, it sets us FREE (REDEMPTION). Therefore in Scribes, we believe we are;
Restorers of TRUTH
and we are;
Unashamed to Speak
because of His;
Grace unto us
Mission
Our mission is to propagate the message of REDEMPTION for all to be saved and be prepared for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the creative arts i.e. poetry, music, spoken word. (Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Timothy 2:4).
THE MESSAGE OF REDEMPTION
-In this increasingly dark world, we exist to restore light (truth) through the preaching of the Gospel, that men will be redeemed from sin, self and the systems of the world.
-“Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is coming again! The church must prepare, souls must be saved!” THIS IS OUR MESSAGE!
Vision
Our goal is to become a voice (Isaiah 40:3), effectively evangelizing the gospel through the tool of discipleship where we raise believers to become ministers of redemption, taking the world with the Christ-message through creative arts.
Through training and instruction, we aim at raising all believers to live the fullness of the Christ-life (Galatians 4:19) and to reach and influence the world by becoming an agency of redemption and restoration, projecting Christ to all men, touching lives and empowering people to lead and impact in every sphere of life.
